I'm a new member of this forum. Found the site after searching for the KS mod for scourge of war Waterloo.

I'm from the Netherlands and a historian who currently works as a data analist.

I have owned scourge of war gettysburg for 2 months and I found it to be a very entertaining game. Especially while playing HITS. I recently bought Waterloo and after reading up about the game I understood that the KS mod is the best way to enjoy the game in HITS mode. So I registered and downloaded the mod.

Just finished my first solo scenario (French scenario 2) and lost decisevely, but enjoyed it! My forces suffered 4500 casualties and only inflicted 1500 .

Looking forward to learning to play the game better and experience more thrilling battles.

Welcome to the forum. As you found out, HITS with the KS Mod is a humbling experience. A large number of your battles will end in a defeat. We play MP several times a week. Most of the time, we all play together against the AI and often lose. Scroll through the thread, "Impromptu Games", and you will see that the result is often a loss for the human side.

The best and fastest way to learn how to play the game using the KS Mod is to join us in our MP games. Initially you can start as a brigade commander in someone's division. You can then ask any questions you may have while in the battle and get an immediate answer from people who have been playing for years. Don't worry about doing badly, we all do badly from time to time, even though we have been playing for years.

Thanks for the welcome message. Playing HITS with you guys is something I'm interested in. Will first try 1 or 2 singleplayer scenario's to get the hang of the controls.
