Hello!
I'm a long time wargamer but want to find out much more about kriegspiel, take part in some games, get my own set, etc.
Looking forward to picking up hints and info.

A belated welcome from me too.
You can buy rules & maps from TooFatLardies, who stock a good range.
I appreciate Lancashire is some way from Herts, but you would always be welcome to join us for a game, if you're in the area. We play a mixture of traditional k/spiels, plus other map-based games (designed by group members), based on the k/s approach.

No known Kriegsspiel activity in the north, though I think the Lardies are somewhere up there.
Also, Megagame Makers run occasional games at the Leeds Armoury – a good bunch of people and the games bear some similarity to KS, though without the crucial fog of war element.
If you did want to visit us sometime, I could offer a lift to and from Watford Junction which is on the West Coast mainline.
