My wife just finished a pencil drawing of Napoleon. You might recognise the image, its from a painting of the Battle of Jena.

It has taken her months, on and off.

I wish she wouldn't get so engrossed with these obsessions Very Happy

Very good, the folds of cloth on the coat are extremely well done.

Very well done.  Here's her next subject, Boney at the other end of his career.

Look at the man's dirty boots! What kind of an emperor is he with boots that filthy!

I suppose that it is only through a very thorough and long hands-on expierience that one learns the skill of boot polishing mid-charge.

Jane thanks for your kind remarks.

She is not feeling very inclined to commit to another likeness of the Great man, yet!

She hasn't said such but the pile of broken pencils indicate her frame of mind on this subject Very Happy

Mike, you are an inspiration to us all. Can you do Napoleon crossing the Alps?

Curious that the evil smirk the artist caught in the studio portrait is missing on the Alps work (a magnificent landscape I may add). Perhaps he was feeling a little chilly?

Thank You for your kind words of creative support. I am hoping not to be found dead by a thousand pencil stabs tomorrow morning.

I think the next task Al and I will attempt is Sound of Music Napoleon.
