ARVN forces in support of my position north of Hue have detected a significant enemy force located to the west of Hue at coordinates 73.5/22.5. I have initiated an attack using my forces located to the north of the city and support from ARVN forces to attack the enemy at Thon Kim Long village (73.5/22.5). This attack will begin with a prep fire barrage at 0900 followed by the main assault at 0930. The objective is to cutoff the flow of enemy supplies through the west gate of Hue. If successful I plan to follow up with a direct attack into the city through the west gate.
