Re: Yesterday battle video
Thanks for posting that, Davide. It’s very interesting to see the battle from the other side.
I set up the game with corps-level forces. Both forces had become separated in the heavily-wooded terrain, so the CinCs had to discover where their divisions were, before they could firm-up on plans.
The Union had about 2,000 more men and also more guns, but the Rebs had better quality troops. They were also much more concentrated, as the largest Union division started a couple of miles to the rear. But neither side had good intelligence of the other’s strength and deployment.
A great deal would therefore hinge on whether the Rebs could defeat the 1st and 2nd Union Divisions, before my large 3rd Division arrived from the rear.

Yes unluckily Longstreet found himself attacked from bigger forces before I saw your force comes and I could order a retreat; I gave him a order to attack when there was only a brigade around and he found himself in a bad situation before I realize what is coming on his flank. You did well with your division, don't worry, there is nothing you could do more.

Re: Yesterday battle video
Yes that's true, Longstreet. I hit you with 3 large brigades on front & flank, so the odds were very much against you. It's true that my troops weren't of especially good quality, but - as the Russians used to say - numbers have a quality of their own
