Which ACW General Are You?
I saw this on the TC2M forum and thought it might be of interest. The quiz asks a series of personality questions, the answers to which determine the general you most closely identify with. Here's the link: Which General Are You
For myself, and no real surprise, it was Sherman, (Uncle Billy) 75%, followed by both Grant and Forrest at 60%. Nothing like black smoke covering the horizon.

Re: Which ACW General Are You?
Just done this and I'm Sherman too! Off to get some therapy now!
However I was presented with a tie-breaker before I got my result, and had I opted for the other choice would ended-up as Robert E Lee. My actual scores are 50% for both, followed by Grant on 45% and a whole heap on 40%. I believe this allows me to claim that I'm 25 percentage points less crazy than Uncle Billy (or by the wonders of maths 33% less). Huzzah!
Beulah. Peel me a crumpet.

70% Robert E Lee. No wonder I’m drawn to the ”Confederatie”.
50% Ambrose Burnside. I did have impressive side burns in my Yute.

Oh wow, 90% for Ulysses "I don't care if he is always drunk, he gets the job done" Grant. Seems to fit.
That was a tie breaker though. I was also 90% Pete "You're wrong Lee, you're wrong. You screwed up at Gettysburg big time. I told you so" Longstreet.
Someone needs to do a similar quiz for Napoleon's marshals

Re: Which ACW General Are You?
I'm sure the second result must be an anomaly. LOL
You Scored as Stonewall Jackson
Considered perhaps the greatest general of the war, you're a hero to your people and the scourge of the enemy. You might want to avoid reconnaisance, at least until the invention of night-vision goggles.

Robert E. Lee 85%
General Nathan Bedford Forrest 80%
General Jeb Stuart 70%
General James Longstreet 60%
General Phillip Sheridan 55%

Re: Which ACW General Are You?
Stop if you've heard this one Uncle Billy
General Sherman is marching through the South, and passes Stone Mountain in Georgia. On top is a lone rebel, hurling insults down on the Yankees.
Sherman sends ten men up to deal with the rebel. Twenty minutes pass, the men don't return, and the rebel appears again on top of the mountain, yelling insults.
Sherman sends a hundred men up to deal with the rebel. Twenty minutes pass, the men don't return, and the rebel appears again on top of the mountain, yelling insults.
Finally, Sherman sends a thousand men up to deal with the rebel. Twenty minutes pass, a one wounded man crawls back down. "General," he gasps, "it's a trap! There's two of 'em!"

Makes sense although it's too great an honor to fill those shoes, however I always had a more Longstreet approach with my tactics.

Re: Which ACW General Are You?
Right! I’ve had just about enough of this....
Folks marching around the place parading their 80% and 85% and whotnot. That charlatan Diggers on a whopping 90% almost made me swallow my cheroot. Why even Grog & Hays muster a respectable 70% - and they sound like the purveyors of a type of moonshine rum.
And then there’s me, languishing on a mere 50%. No-one else seems to come close to my level of mediocrity. This is an outrage
If I could remember what I’ve done with my pistols, I’d challenge one of you to a duel.

You Scored as General Nathan Bedford Forrest
Perhaps the finest cavalry general of the war, you've been called a genius by historian Shelby Foote. A down and dirty fighter, you rarely lose and truthfully, well, you're more than a bit scary...
