Hi all
I am wondering if there has been any problems with the game over the last few months. I have not been able to get the game to start,It goes through all the motions of loading the game but then stops. What seems to be the problem is the scenery. A long list of files that can't be loaded for whatever option I choose to load. I just downloaded the game from Matrix yesterday as I haven't played it for a while and spent the time trying to make it work without success. Any help would be appreciated

I assume you are loading the KS Mod, not vanilla? The game generates a log file in documents/sowwl, have a look in there and tell us what the errors are. If you are getting terrain item errors then the KS Mod isn't installed correctly. Make sure you haven't got a folder within a folder which is always a problem when you tell 7zip or winzip to "open into this folder". As a result I always drag the folders across manually.

Hi Mr Digby,
Thanks for comments on this problem. The scenery crash actually occurred in vanilla as I ran the programme initially without the KS mod. Then I installed the KS mod folders and the same problem occurred. This was confirmed by the log folder in the documents file. I also reinstalled Waterloo thinking I had forgotten to use 1.03. When I ran WL again same thing, all scenery problems.

Zip up your log file and I'll take a look at it. Did you install 1.02 before you installed 1.03? As I recall, it is necessary to do so.

Hi Uncle Billy,
I think your right about version 1.2. On reflection I think I did avoid loading 1.2. I will reload the game again with all versions and see what happens. Thanks for your help.

Hi Uncle Billy,
1.02 turned out to be the problem. Thanks to you and Mr Digby for your comments and input.
