So this is like overall attempt #3. My first.  A Corps commander birthday present

I felt good about pressing more weight to our right. I sacrificed Vince’s division on the left against the French horde  to help make that happen. He was up to the task. And Phil abandoned the wooded latrine to steadily push on the first objective. B.E. White took it with his brigade. But hitting that second objective. Wow. I scouted it. Gave the preferred approach to Mike and Ehey. Went off to the other flank to adjust that sector. Digby/Grog making an admirable shift of position under heavy pressure. When I came back to the right and could not find Ehey but saw a ton of French and saw Miko playing Custer against the Sioux, there was no real option. So I ordered a retreat.

Tough fight. Tough scenario

Ready to try it again lol

I definitely lost a little control over my division in the move right. It's quite difficult to disengage an active opponent in front of you and walk around them. One must either baby sit every unit or order them back some 500+ yards so they do not see the enemy. Making matters worse it was difficult to know which cavalry was mine with units from other divisions sharing my unit's sprites. I probably could have moved faster and I ended up only bringing one of my batteries with me. The fighting at Offenstetten looked pretty thick. I figured just one French division would be at Abendsburg so I figured my battery could stay and shoot at stuff in Offenstetten. Still had I brought everything speedily I am not sure we would have had the mass to remove those French there. Miko tried a desperate flank attack through the woods. I went and distracted the guns as best I could, fought some dragoons, rescued Kevin's command (some of it), and shot up a bunch of infantry and yet more came over the hill towards me as the final crash happened. The fat lady was singing.

Not sure what else could have been done. I think it was well commanded. Perhaps one must resort to taking a page out of Kirk's play book to beat the scenario. Punch some alien women in the face, make out with some alien women in the face, and cheat at everthing.

We should try it again once Kevin has added another Prussian division. If the French were set to "hunt them down" I think we could win as well - a couple of their divisions might wander off in search of Pat's most likely approach route.

A platoon of Mark IVs with the short-barrel 75mm would do nicely.

Failing that, I think some OOB adjustment would work.

Yes. Complete overhaul. Switch it to inexperienced Spanish troops.

I must say that the Luck division have something bizarre in it.

It tried it twice and every time I had two battalions in one brigade that seems to live their own life. They don't move with the same formations that other regiments, they stop at random place instead of being correctly positionned in the brigade formation. I don't know what is their problem.
