Multiplayer Saved Games?

I have a sinking feeling that the answer to this is "no" but is there a way to save an army level game on multiplayer - my son and I were playing coop v ai - and resume it the following day?

There does not seem to be any way to load a .sav game directly and if we load the original scenario and then try to use the menu to load the saved game the game does not work. It loads....but the clock does not run...and the troops just stand there.

I am wondering how you guys manage to play these complex multiplayer games or if you do it all in one sitting?

I had seen that.  I was hoping that it was only referring to cases where the game "crashed" not where it had been deliberately stopped and saved.

Now I see that it is not a "bug" but a "feature."  Oh well, quite a serious weakness of the original system.  Thanks for the prompt answer.
