This is a series of photos from SALUTE 2011. Photos 072 and 073 appear to show a form of Kriegsspiel in progress. Did anyone attend and can comment on this?

I didn't attend, being in the wrong country, but that looks a lot like one of Jim Wallman's games. Especially given the "Megagames Makers" header on one of the papers on the table.

Yes, some interesting material there. I am sure Martin can do a good game design with that!

I have a friend who was involved in running the Salute game, and understand that it was indeed a Jim Wallman/Megagame Makers effort.
The Salute event was run as a face-to-face game, but there seems no obvious reason why we could not do it as a k/spiel. I do quite fancy doing a WW1 game, and have asked my pal if he would like to help run it (or something similar) for us.
More when I know it.

I will be attending the Mega Game on Saturday 14th dealing with Goodwood. I hope to pick up some tips on design and running games...
I think there is still player space available, but for those North of London an early start is required so it does limit the appeal to those inside London...

FYI the game was well run and Steve was there as well. Great to play a game with so many players. Once the game review / results are up on the web I shall post a link with photo's. Some potential new Krieg players...
