Re: Scenario Generator for Scourge of War
Open the replay file in a text editor. The third line down will be the map name. Is it the same name as the map in the replay viewer?

Yes I have checked a couple of maps that give me an error with the ReplayViewer and the map name is exactly the same.
I never have a problem with files for our MP games, even the one you uploaded last saturday works fine.

Re: Scenario Generator for Scourge of War
Hi guys
I'd like to hear your opinion about a Change to the Scenario Generator.
New maps are frequently added (like Cold Harbour), and Kevin likes to make a huge amount of map variants with less trees.
This calls for constant maintenance and for family reasons I won't be able to do that in the near months
So I thought I could make the following changes in the next update:
- Allow user to insert new screenshots for new maps
- Allow user to edit the whole map list (and he will need to edit the Excel links to the pictures)
I see 2 possible issues here:
1) Inexperienced excel users might break something and in the end no picture or the wrong picture will show up
2) Each user would have to do map updates for himself.
Would that still make sense?

That would be a very good change as you no longer have to worry about updates. I'm sure if people have problems they can rely on folks who are more technically inclined to help.

Re: Scenario Generator for Scourge of War
Would it be a single file for all the maps that would be screwed up? (and a single file for all map updates)
Or would it be a seperate file(s) for each map?
I can see that later being more resilient, although it would require sharing a file or two for each game potentially.

simple solution...
make a duplicate ScenGen folder and copy all the orig files there, then work using the duplicate...and if something gets messed up that you can't fix, simply copy the orig back into this new folder and start over...
