Ligny add-on
Who has it or plans to get it? At GBP 17.99 it seems very expensive but from what I've seen it looks like a nice map with a lot of MP game potential.

Re: Ligny add-on
I got it just before I went away this weekend, not had chance to play on it yet. They put alot of work into this one. Seems accurate and will be good for scenarios involving fighting overstreams and village control (as the battle itself).
For me any map is good if it promises something new and this one is quite different from the others.

I will definitely be getting it. I am not particularly confident that I will get it to work with KS mod though, if QB was any indication. Any tips of how to use Ligny with KS (How best to install) would be much appreciated.

Re: Ligny add-on
For my purposes these add-ons are only useful for the maps, so I made a new mod called "QB Map" and just put the various map files in there and launched it after the KS Mod in the mods sequence. I'll do the same with Ligny. I have no interest in the OOBs or scenarios. These maps work fine with the KS Mod if you do that.

Re: Ligny add-on
The cost is unjustifiably high. When the game itself costs ~40 euros it's pretty tough to come to a decision to buy both add-ons for the same combined price when essentially the only useful thing I'd get out of them are the maps (for people who enjoy vanilla it'll be a few more scenarios to play out as well). I can sort of understand the reason for the pricing as it's a purchase that very few would ever make and they would do it more or less regardless of the price but it's still just plain silly.
It might be a bit unreasonable but I feel that the price should be what a hobbyist might ask for his work to a friend, not what a full-time game developer would ask to pay his bills. Isn't the game essentially just that - the result of a hobby for a group of people with a cool idea? They all have day jobs that pay those bills (or so I've read). Trying to get a $/h return from the DLC that equals that of a day job seems counter-intuitive because less people will be able to play and enjoy their labour of love.
Just my 0.02$

Dang that is pricey!
I will wait till it goes on sale.
CIV VI is coming out soon and I am going to purchase that before anything else.

Re: Ligny add-on
For anyone that might be interested in playing Ligny using KS Mods, I followed Kevin's instructions from a previous post and everything seems to work fine.
"The mod won't work with the stock scenarios. If you want to play them, you must download the SDK from the NSD forum. Inside, you will find a folder named Scenarios. This has a copy of all the stock battles. Create a folder inside your Mods folder. Name it Stock Scenarios. Now drag the Scenarios folder from the SDK into your newly created folder. Open the game and activate your new mod. You will find the stock battles on the User Scenarios screen."
I've always loved this battle and the map is lovely in my opinion. Value for money? Well, I guess that is a personal decision.
