Napoleonic Game Monday 13th?

If it's not too early to post for Monday. I'm busy this weekend during normal U.K. playing hours, but I need to get used to the Napoleonics mod and in fact get a complete refresher on the game in general. Been out of it for two years or so. Time zone here is U.S. Central Daylight, which is GMT -5 IIRC, until Summer Time starts in Britain ... I think.

Believe we're GMT+1 at the moment - which means we're looking at a 6-hour difference if that's right.

What times were you suggesting? Suspect you might get a quieter response on a weekday, but you never know

Usually, on Central Standard Time, I'm GMT -6. So, probably about 7 pm or 8 pm UK time for the start, Mondays through Thursdays. That's 1 pm or 2 pm my time. Of course, if an earlier or later start time works better for players in the U.K., that's fine as well. I'm retired, you see, and I'm available pretty much any afternoon - my time - except Saturdays and Sundays, and I can sleep in the next day without any ill effects. I sell things at my booth at a local flea market on the week-end. Week-ends, I'm available starting about 3 pm my time - 9 pm UK time. I don't know how that might make it more difficult, not having the earlier start time on the week-ends, but perhaps someone in the group from the US might be available if the week-ends are the best or only time for UK players. Dunno, except to say I'm flexible.

Its a lot less than 2 years since you last played HITS with us Ike, I only joined the HITs group 1 year and 3 months ago and it took us about 4/5 months to get the couriers thing working properly. You probably last played about 10 months ago I'd guess.

I accept your calculations on the elapsed time, but seems much longer, sir. Perhaps I'm not as rusty as I think I am, but I need some work with the Nap troops to become used to their characteristics a bit.

We could get together for a game Sunday afternoon 15:30CST or Monday evening 1830-1900CST.

That match was a lot of fun

It was a ton of fun for certain! I'm rusty but got back in the saddle, so to speak, fairly quickly. Just running a brigade of foot, but it went well. Had a few issues with the mods etc and my forgetfulness of how the program works, but that was quickly worked out. Both Khryses and Uncle Billy were patient, helpful and great fun to fight a battle with. It was us versus Austrian AI and we won of course. Thank you, guys. And my PC is set for SOW and the Napoleon Mod and the rust is working off of my ability to use the program. Ready for it! Well, after a couple more practice battles and maybe six and ... heh ... I just love this mod by the way. Later all.

My dear general, you worry about fairy tale creatures, something mothers tell their children about to frighten them into bed. They eat runny cheese and require tall furry hats to give them courage to come onto the battlefield. When they see Spanish steel aiming for their eyes, then we will watch them fly like the wind back over the mountains. Perhaps Count Belvedere will lift his skirts and fly with them.
