Game Booster 3
Has anyone already tested Game Booster 3?
Chamberlain from the NSD QA Team advertised it on the norbsoft forum. I hope it can improve the performance of SOW a bit, so we can host larger games / have less lag.

Re: Game Booster 3
Hi Stefan,
I've been using it since the thread on NSD forum. Haven't done any testing of effects & have used it sometimes, not always.

Re: Game Booster 3
I tried it this morning and am favorably impressed. I found it hassle-free to install & use, and it does appear to give me a higher FPS.
I did the most severe stress test I could think of. Full Antietam OOB on the morning Antietam map, which is a far more challenging spec that we are ever likely to try MP. That's 115,000 men on what may be the most graphically-demanding map.
I also took my readings with a screen full of sprites, and with heavy fighting underway. Without the booster I was normally getting 2 FPS (occasionally 3). With it, I was normally getting 3 or 4 (occasionally 5).
Not being a techie, I don't know whether the improvement will transfer to MP, but it seems to be worthwhile for SP anyway. So I would encourage everyone to give it a go.
