Scourge of war Waterloo remastered on Steam
Hey chaps
Guess they really are doing it. It will be interesting to see how it turns out and whether they continue to develop it as they say they will. Suspect that its a cash grab on the back of the Napoleon movie. Shame that the movie sucked, so much.

Definitely feels like a cash grab.... I'll need to know what improvements (if any) they've made to the game.

Re: Scourge of war Waterloo remastered on Steam
Norb has a Gettysburg Remastered coming out too.
Hopefully, I will have more free time to do some Waterloo again soon.

It would be good to see you, Mike
Had some good Gettysburg MPs back in the day. Not sure if either will bring in substantial MP interest, unless they make significant improvements.
My main interest is whether it will be easily modable now that it's going to be 64 bit??

Let's hope that things pick up for the game and I hope that modding is easier too.

I very much agree that the barriers to modding in Waterloo were a negative.
About I year ago I had an exchange with Norb on this, and he seemed to take the point that it needed to be addressed. See this thread

Re: Scourge of war Waterloo remastered on Steam
Thanks Martin
Some good points. Hopefully there will be some tools to play with, as well as some engine changes. I think that I'll start putting some thoughts down for Norb but might wait until the early access version is out on Steam.
As for the Conga line, it didn't really bother me but that might be because it's perhaps less noticeable in HITS

Yes that's a good point re HITS, Mike.
IMHO the game looks better in various ways if you tie your view to the saddle. Some terrain features for example
