Can someone please give me a step by step guide to getting to Scenario editor to save working created battles in Scourge of waterloo. I have tried and get .Scn files that do not connect to the game. Many thanks for any help given.

The scenario is saved in a folder named New Scenario. It is a sub-folder in the scenario generator folder. There is a pdf manual for the SG in the folder.

Thank you for your help, I managed to get it to work and loaded in "The King of Westphalia" but half the units will not respond, how to I get them to act like normal. (loaded one for an already formed battle to help teach me). Thank you for nay help.

What do you mean? Are you saying they do not move during the game? They stay in their starting locations. Or do you mean that units you should be able to control directly do not respond to your commands?

Yes that is what I am saying just like the scenario of the same name the are dormant and cannot be ordered, I thought that putting them into the scenario editor would free them to give more choices. but something locks them up. Thank you for replying to my question.

If you are trying to use one of the stock scenarios with the KS Mod, it will likely not work. The OOBs used by the mod are significantly different than those used by the stock scenarios. Your problem may be related to that. As it's a scripted scenario, it may be designed so that you only have a limited number of troops you can command. I don't know, I've never played it.

Yes it was originally designed small battle limited use, where unit were frozen out so to speak, I thought the scenario editor could have stripped that limitation. Any way thank you very much for taking interest in my post, I just wanted to load in a small engagement to start off with as I am still not sure of how to add units and position them. it is hard when you are getting on a bit.

I took a quick look at the battlescript and scenario files. It is written so that you command a division and the rest of the French army are spectators in the fight. If you want to have a free-for-all and get everyone involved in the fight. Open scenario.ini in a text editor and change line 4, strategicai=0, to strategicai=2 or strategicai=4. The battle will no longer follow the script, but the units will be more responsive.
