2021 AGM and Club Elections
The much delayed club AGM took place on Zoom yesterday. The existing committee stood again, and were duly reelected. Congratulations go to the following:
Chair: Steve Hockin
Treasurer: David Comerford
Secretary: Sean Collins
We are fortunate to have two reports of the occasion, firstly from the Tring Gazette.........
The three gentlemen who have the misfortune to serve, were hoodwinked into continuing for a further year. The club membership immediately commenced celebrating (mainly that it was not them!). It has become traditional on these occasions to adjourn to the nearby Bridgewater Arms Public House, and at some point during the evening burn it to the ground. Social distancing restrictions sadly prevented that on this occasion however.

And from the Chilterns Enquirer.......
The ruthless machine that is the club committee once again ensured their grip on power in an uncontested election. Potential alternative candidates were pressurised into not standing. Ballots were stuffed, and gerrys were mandered. Yet again there was no mention of the vexed Great Gaddesden Question. How long can this tyranny go on?

Rigged election! The will of the people stolen! Everybody and I mean EVERYBODY voted for the Uncle Billy party. A recount! is demanded! A march on Little Gaddesden to take back club is scheduled! Strict voter ID laws will be passed!
