In case the reason is not immediately apparent, it was on this day in 1776 that we colonials wrote a friendly missive to Georgie Three Sticks, respectfully advising him where he could stick said missive.

I wonder if the British are just jealous that their own plans for independence aren't working out so well. I'm sure you guys will get your sovereignty back some day.
