Very slick! I can foresee table top wargamers buying your product just for the map creation tools.

How big a map (in dimensions - pixels - or size - bytes) do you plan to allow to be imported?

Right now the size of an imported map is 805 x 1155. You can also printout the maps (in color if you have a color printer).

If you can think of any other places I should be posting to spread the word about General Staff it would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to try and get noticed by some of the popular wargame bloggers. Giving people access to a pre-release copy so they can review it is one option.

The problem with posting on forums and such is that people might see it as self-promotion or advertising which doesn't go down well.

Review copies to the following might help build interest before publication. I think they do look at pre-release versions:

* Armchair General http://www.armchairgeneral.com/

* The Wargamer http://www.wargamer.com/

Thanks for the suggestions. I know what you mean about 'self-promotion'; sadly, I am trying to get the word out about [i]General Staff[i] so we can have a successful Kickstarter campaign that funds the completion and duplication of the project.

In the old days I would go out and do a number of press interviews at this point. That, of course, was paid for by my publisher. But, that's why they took 85% of the gross receipts, too!
