The Austrian counter offensive was unexpected. With little effort, they expelled the garrisons that were holding Friedland and Schonwalde. It is evident the enemy will continue advancing south and cut the Leunenburg Strasse, probably at the important road junction in Assamen.
A French corps has been rushed NE to stop the Austrian advance, but is still in the process of assembling and deploying properly to meet the threat.
Objective:
Repel any attack on Leunenburg Strasse and on Assamen in particular. If possible, drive the enemy back north across the river and hold your position until French reinforcements arrive in a day or so.
