All players will need version 1.13 of the KS Napoleon Mod.


The Russian plan was carried out flawlessly.  The armies of Buxhoeveden and Bennigsen have concentrated while the French are still dispersed. General'nyy Buxhoeveden has even managed to throw one of his corps, commanded by General'nyy Essen, across the line of communication between the French VIII corps and its supply base at Osterode.  Now Maréchal Mortier must turn around and secure his line.

This event has been fully anticipated by General'nyy Essen.  He has laid a cunning trap in the vicinity of Polotsk.  As the French divisions march west to secure the Shosse Vidzi, their line of communication, they will encounter only a single division supported by cavalry.  As the French concentrate and engage this small force, Prints Gallitzin's large division which is hidden from view by a line of hills, can fall on the French flank at an opportune moment.

Objective: Maintain control of the Shosse Vidzi and prevent the French from reestablishing their line of communication.
