This is an enquiry e-mail via http://www.kriegsspiel.org.uk from:
William N. Vossbrink <xaltotun01@yahoo.com>

Sirs: A few years ago I attempted to contact the military history facility in Freiburg, DE but did not receive a response from them. However, I unfortunately have misplaced their contact information. If such is available to you, may I impose on you to provide either an email or postal address that I may resend my queries? I am very earnestly seeking the original 1824 Kriegsspiel text in German by von Reisswitz, but it has proven *exceedingly* elusive. Thank you in advance. Cordially, W. N. Vossbrink (xaltotun01@yahoo.com or wnbush@fidmail.com)

Here is what I have from Bill..........

1824. B. von Reisswitz. Anleitung zur Darstellung militairische manover mit dem Apparat des Krieg Spiels. The original K rules prepared by von Reisswitz for the Prussian Army following a demonstration for von Müffling and the General Staff in 1824. A copy in the Militargeschichtliches Forschungamtes, Freiburg, Germany and a photocopy donated by myself is in the National Army Museum Library, Chelsea, London.

hope that helps

The "Militaergeschichtliches Forschungsamt" moved from Freiburg to Potsdam in 1994. The new adress is:
MGFA
Zeppelinstr. 127-128
14471 Potsdam

www.mgfa-potsdam.de

There is a library in Potsdam, but the archive (the original documents) remained in Freiburg:
Bundesarchiv-Militaerarchiv
Wiesentalstr. 10
79115 Freiburg

militaerarchiv@barch.bund.de

Hope that helps.
Best regards
H.
