Impromptu Games

I am busy this weekend. I can play Friday and Monday but not Sat/Sun.

Perhaps we could compromise and play with couriers (to brigade level) but not HITS? (I've found a camera height of 50 yds works very well)

EDIT: Just to make this clear so there is no confusion. Our HITS games will always use a 2 yds command view radius. I only suggested the 50 yds in this thread to allow more non-HITS players join in with a "200" weekend event.

I am willing to play HITS or just reduced camera. What I am interested in is getting some discussion going with new and existing players to get some games scheduled. I have heard a lot of interest, but maybe we just need a better system to get the games set up.

You guys have been good about scheduling and getting games played. So, what is the best way to get more players playing with us.

I think if it comes under the KS umbrella then it has to be HITS. We won't use a wider range camera as that's key to our whole ethics.

I think until we can get a proper arrow in the game, something NSD may have to do, we should play with a 10 yd. radius. Those few extra yards makes a big difference in seeing it.

I really like the 10 yards. It's not such a struggle to play. At 2yds, I spend most the game fighting the controls, not very immersive.

I will be avaible for a game at the usual 20:00 BST today friday.

I'll try, but that's pretty early for me.

The ideal time for me would be an hour later, that's 21:00 BST. Even one more hour wouldn't matter to me. We'll wait for more people to show their preferences.

I can play at 20:00BST or later.

If no one from this side of the Atlantic will be playing, we can try at 21:00 BST or maybe Mark can suggest a better time so that more WL players from GCM will be in for a game.

indeed I am... it's Friday evening, I feel no urge to get drunk and the Duchess is out again - so GAME time... why not start one at 2000 BST and maybe go for round 2 later on with more Colonials present, if the 2000 BST team still feels like it? ( been waiting for ages to use that one )

The mod was stable this battle.

That gun line was the Russian hurt locker.  With cavalry in support it was invulnerable.

Earlier in the battle, these boys forced the Old Guard into square. Russian infantry came up and shot the square to pieces with the cavalry standing just out of range. When the Frenchmen finally broke, the Gusars charged and finished them off. No love for the snail-eaters.
