Windows 11
Hi all,
after many years is time for a new PC.
Now all new PCs have Windows 11 pre-installed, so my fear is that my favorite sims (sowwl and sowgb) and the best mods may have problems or maybe they do not work at all.
Anyone has already tried with Windows 11 ? Does it work fine with Waterloo and Gettysburg ? Is it still possible (and work) to go to "compatibility Win 7" option in Windows 11 ?
A great thank you for your help

Re: Windows 11
I haven't heard of any problems. You will need to use Win7 compatibility.

Re: Windows 11
Hello, Seamount
I switched to a new machine using Windows 11 in August. I have had no problems running SOW:WL but that comes with a huge "BUT."
The but is that Windows 11 is a royal pain in the ass. It uses the One Drive thing as a default and has a tendency to scatter your files all over the place. Worse, there is some kind of Security System where you need to give yourself permission to read your own files and documents especially if you have imported them from another computer.
I have adjusted.... but for a good month I was wishing to have Windows 10 back!
OTOH, the new computer has an SSDD which is fast as lightning. It used to take more than 4 minutes for Rome Total War Remastered to switch from the strategic screen to the battle screen. Now it takes about 15 seconds. So....that was worth a little pain.
