Hello again
Hey guys, long time no see!
So, I was in the mood to play some SOWGB recently..., but I couldn't get it to work on Win10 (in compatibility Win7 mode). Has someone succeeded at starting it?
Looking at the forum and discord, SOWWL still seems to be played actively. Nice. Do you have any regular days/hours to play online?
About the delisting: Is it correct, that after September 1st it will be impossible to buy SOWWL anymore?
Kind Regards
Stefan

Re: Hello again
Hi Stefan
Good to hear from you, and hope family are well.
GB definitely works in Win10, and compatibility mode is the way to go. I think mine is installed in Win8, but if that doesn’t work you could try Vista.
The Waterloo group plays 2 or 3 times a week, I believe. Not sure of the days, but one of them can let you know.
A group of us also plays GB weekly on a Thursday evening. We now have a wide range of mods running from the 17thC until 1876. Let me know if you’re interested.
Am trying to find-out whether either game will still be sold by anyone, but early days yet. Hopefully if anyone else has better information, they will post.

Re: Hello again
Hi Stefan, welcome back. We play SOWWL 3 times a week, Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. There will be a game today at 20:00CET. Join us whenever you can. We get on the discord channel about 5 minutes early. Have the three parts of the mod installed, KS Napoleon Mod II 1.36, KS Supplemental Maps 1.26 and KS Sprites Mod 1.07. The order doesn't matter. The latest version of the AI dll code is on the download page of the discord channel.

Re: Hello again
Hi Marti and Kevin
good to hear you again .
I was able to get GB running now. Before diving into WL, I want to give GB a go first. @Martin, I'm interested in joining one of your sessions. But could we do a test-run before and see if I can get MP working again. Thanks.

Re: Hello again
Martin, which mods for GB do you use that covers pre-ACW? Is the Blenheim or Fontenoy mod still used?

Re: Hello again
No, but if you PM me your email address, I'll put them in Dropbox for you.
It will be a slow process though, as some of them are large, and my Dropbox account is the basic one and cannot hold much. So perhaps tell me your 3 most preferred, and I'll send you links one at a time.
All of these mods are created by an informal modding collective, consisting of Crikey, Pom and myself. Normally one of us will lead on any particular mod, and the others pitch-in to help.
Please note that all of our mods are works in progress..............all of the time
