Free downloadable US Army topographical maps, with nationwide coverage, at Pickatrail.com Smile

The maps come in a number of different varieties; one particular series shows contours and forested areas, with unobtrusive marking of roads, and appears readily adaptable for Kriegsspiel. The example I looked at was for the Manassas area of Virginia.
