Formalising club structures and inaugural AGM
Dear all
For some years a group of us have been playing Kriegsspiel face to face with organisation etc being done on a friendly basis.
In recent years the gaming venue has required payment which means money changing hands. In addition the website, which costs money to maintain, has passed from the initial founder to a willing volunteer. If that person were unable to continue someone would need to pick up the mantle. All of this suggests a formal club structure with some willing volunteers taking on roles is desirable to provide resilience and continuity.
With all of this in mind Ive had a first stab at a draft
constitition to give overall structure to our group. An initial AGM is scheduled for 18th November, probably after the game.
I will post a DRAFT constitution by seperate post for comment and amendment as necessary at the AGM. I will also post a suggest AGM agenda.
In order to get the views of as many people as possible with an interest in this I encourage you to comment on both so we can agree a structure and constitution which as many as possible can buy in to.
Thanks in advance
Steve
