Major Byrd reporting for Duty!
Hey guys
I recently bought Scourge of War. I've been playing the Take Command Series for years. My first game was Civil War Generals, my second one Panzer General, so I've always been fascinated by War Games and literature.
I played my first MP game yesterday with Garniers Mod. It was great fun but I think I'd enjoy the Courier + Cam system more since I also enjoy the roleplaying character offered by such games.
My name is Sven, I'm from Munich, Germany and hope to meet you on the field as soon as possible =)
Greetings

Major Byrd
Just had a very pleasant conversation with Major Byrd who was on T/S @ 1400 my time. I mentioned that the time differences are sometimes difficult to overcome and suggested that we schedule an "international game" for Friday or Saturday evening this week somewhere in the time range of 6 - 8 pm (1800 - 2000) English time (or 1200 to 1400 USCDT) for one of those days. Knowing that many Americans are still at work at the 1200 to 1400 on Friday, Saturday would be the better time. Accordingly, if agreeable with the HITS community, would like to hear from those who would be available at that time.
Have a great week!
Jack

Eminently doable - particularly leaning toward the later end of the slot, but can do either, either way.

Re: Major Byrd reporting for Duty!
Sorry you can't make Niall!
Jon (Company B, 4th Texas will be there. KGSpoom may be, depending upon his work schedule. Perhaps we can do a "vs" game rather than an AI game since we have 6 committed to play: Dig, Jon, Kryses, Major Byrd, Kevin, myself.
Time: If all are in agreement, let's shoot for a 1300 CDT start. That would be 1200 for Kevin, 1900 for Dig, Kryses, 2000 for Major Byrd. If Steve (KGSpoom) makes it, his time would 1400. Does that sound agreeable for all?
Anyone else interested, drop a PM on this page and we will include you.
Also, standard OOB on a large map.....unless someone wishes to "tinker-up" a custom game! Any takers?

Re: Major Byrd reporting for Duty!
Looks like we will have a full contingent of veterans all ready for Saturday.
Mr. Baldwin has volunteered to set-up a balanced OOB for our play! Sounds good, and I am sure he would welcome any suggestions from the group. How much lead time do you need...or when should we establish a cut-off time?
Thanks, and looking for to a "smashing engagement!"

4am my time actually, but as I say, doable
I'm the token Aussie - luckily I'm also a raving insomniac when a good game of SoW is in the offing

Hell, Kryses, I knew that.....but forgot. That is what happens when you grow old! Glad you will be joining at that "jolly" time.

Re: Major Byrd reporting for Duty!
Sounds like a major fight is imminent this saturday. I would very much like to join, but so far it doesn't look likely for me (real life...).
Cheers

Re: Major Byrd reporting for Duty!
Just learned that Major Byrd will unavailable this weekend, so scratch one player Mr. Baldwin. Mr. Cleburne and Leffe will be available, so add them to the list if you haven't already. Think you have everyone else.
Looks like it should be a nice, large-size battle.
Thanks

I suppose I should have a 7 and 8 player version ready depending on whether Steve can make it that day.

That sounds like a great plan, Mr. Baldwin! Thanks for volunteering to assist in getting this game goind.
I'm not sure when Steve will know. Will ask him when I see him tonight on GCM.
Thanks
