Potentially brilliant find, Mark, look forward to getting stuck into this site when I get a mo. Useful perhaps for Martin too, who was contemplating an ECW game recently.

Yes indeed. It may also help me in some research I'm doing on early 17 & 18th C wars in Spain.

Absolutely fantastic! I have found on there the original Fox's and Turner's and Crampton's Gaps maps, used in the game. I stitched them together from a number of screen grabs and have posted these on the SoW:GB Maps thread.

Just need some good Pipe Creek maps of the period 1850-1900 now.

Interactive drilldown topomap of the ACTUAL Roman Empire

Post  King_Rufus on Sat Jan 16, 2016 3:55 pm

[.. as opposed to Mark's HOLY Roman Empire which came later  Wink]

FOUND HERE

Numerous useful maps could be generated from this for ancient period games, which shows numerous roads and settlements, with their Roman names, and the detailed topography; our thanks to David C for spotting this resource.
