Howdy,
I have run several pbem kriegsspiel and they have been great successes for all involved. (The largest one spanned about three months and involved 6 players) Right now I am running a hypothetical war in 1868 with three players my intent being to try out different things. Some of the combats have been resolved with 1862 Kreigsspiel, some I have used Carnage and Glory, some miniatures rules of various sorts (homegrown, and polemos). One battle was resolved in part via a terrain walk/staff ride type of concept. I even used Take Command w the Wars of German Unification mod for a few things. The blog is here:

Meanwhile I am participating in a pbem WW2 campaign another friend is running that includes 4 players with another two new players that are 'auditing' a side each to learn the ropes.

Howdy

Email campaigns can be great fun and demand for them always exceeds supply in my experience.

Next time you are looking to run one, please advertise on the forum for players, and I dare say you'll pick up a few.

Hi
Los

My names Alex I read your post on the kriegsspiel forum on email games- your blog looks realy good. Im a keen wargamer live in exeter uk. Don't get to play much kriegsspiel games as I live about 4hrs drive from where they play it- but I did manage to get to the last one which was good. I would be very intrested to play in an email game if one was to be organised

cheers mate :
