I have been wargaming for more years than I care to remember (although as I get older I seem to forget a lot of other things as well!).

I have enjoyed playing (or listening or reading about other people playing) Kriegsspiel for many years .. in fact ever since I first saw it demonstrated at COW many, many years ago.

My own small contribution has been to find the British Army 1956 Wargame in the National Archives, and to pass a copy of the rules to John Curry for publication. If you have not read them they are pure Kriegsspiel, which shows they must have got the basics right back in the early 19th century.
