Interim Version 1.275 of the KS Napoleon Mod Uploaded
Since SOWWL has been updated to version 1.03, a newer version of the KS mod, (1.275) has also been uploaded. you can find the link in the first post of this thread: KS Napoleon Mod Thread You will only need the KS SOWWL Napoleon Mod part. The supplemental maps and Sprites remain the same as before.
It will only run with the new version of the game. It does contain some improvements to the game:
1. Artillery will not fire on units that are located in woods or heavy woods. The game LOS is bugged and trees are transparent to artillery regardless of their depth. This change allows units to remain safe from such fire. It is somewhat unrealistic as troops on the edge of the woods are also invulnerable. It is the best that can be done. Note: units on the far side of such woods can still be targeted.
2. Cavalry screening is being rewritten. The stock game did not use this function very effectively. Now individual regiments or a brigade can be assigned this mission. The units will move to a point 300 yd from the division commander. If the division is on the march, the screen will keep moving forward. If the division is retreating, the screen will remain stationary until the division commander is more than 600 yd. away, when it will fallback to 300 yd. This has not been rigorously tested yet, so there may be bugs.

Does the Scenario Generator still work or is there a new version of that as well?

Yes it works, although you should copy the latest OOBs from the KS Napoleon mod to the OOBs and Maps folder of the SG.

Okay, thanks.
I was "lucky" in the sense that my chip got fried but my hard drive was okay so I still have all of my old files and can access them with a USB drive attachment. I'm pretty sure I have the Scen Gen. download file available but I will dump the old OOB files and substitute the new ones.

Greetings to all,
Since the last game update, I notice that problems and exits to the desktop are common. If I choose certain oobs (Penninsula, Austria) the game is not loaded. I have tried to uninstall the 3 parts of the KS mod, but I continue with the problems. I have also deleted the game and reinstalled it. All are mistakes ..
Any ideas ???

Did you successfully update your game with the latest patch? The only reason I can think of for multiple crashes is that the game is not updated. The way to tell is to check the date of the SOWWL.exe file. It should be 5/1/2018 or 1/5/2018 for Europeans.

I have the same problem, going back to the old patch. The new patch has loaded it say.1.0106 Had to go into the Multiplayer to find out if it had loaded up.

I believe you have to run the 1.02 patch before you can install 1.03. Unfortunately NSD never changed the version number that is displayed. It will always show 1.0106 whether you have 1.02 or 1.03 installed. The only way to tell is to look at the date of the executable.

I have the game on Steam and I have verified that it is well updated.
Is there any restriction to be able to choose for example any oob and play on any map ???
Another thing that I observe is that if I choose to play corp against corp, being me the commander of my corp, but in the battle I am the head of the army. I am Davout and Napoleon appears next to several divisions. This is good ???

The KS mod will work with the Steam version of the game, so you can use any oob and any map in the mod.
If you are the corps commander, Boney will give you an initial order and that is all. You are free to ignore him. He will not give any division an order. The AI commanders strictly observe the chain of command.

I understand but the funny thing is that before I did not leave more troops than mine. Now, if I choose to send a brigade, other troops leave that are not under my command. All this has been once the game or the Mod was updated.
It's what makes me angry.
If I want to play a battle with a division exclusively, I have to see how other troops that are not under my command block the roads, start fighting with the enemy without me not wanting them.
Every time there are modifications my experience is torture :-(
I just want my men by my side :-)
