KS Napoleon Mod Player's Manual

Post  Uncle Billy on Sat Mar 03, 2018 5:57 pm

I wrote a player's manual for the KS Napoleon Mod.  The behavior of the game using the mod is quite different from the vanilla version.  This manual spells out those differences and also gives the player some ideas on how not to be bowled over by the AI or fellow players.  Except for the section on scouting, (will be in version 1.27), it accurately describes the behavior in version 1.26.  Version 1.27 will be released soon.  The manual will be included with it and subsequent version.

Should you find any inaccuracies or omissions, contact editor-in-chief, Martin James.  He takes full responsibility.

Here is the link: KS Napoleon Mod Players Manual

Just read through your new manual.  Very informative and well written.

BTW: Am I right in my assumption that the KS Mod is incompatible with Grog's Toolbar. I've always assumed it is, and so tend to switch the KS Mod off when trying to duplicate one of the tutorial video's that are using it.

I can confirm that the KS Mod and Grog toolbar are incompatible.

EDIT: This is because the KS Mod has its own toolbar which has functions specific to the mod.

Thanks! Turned out to be a pointless question as I realised soon afterwards that I was still on version 1.24 of the KS Mod, and in downloading the update I noticed it said quite clearly that the Grog Toolbar was incompatible with it. I'd just forgotten, as I've been working through the DarkRob tutorials for months.

Is there any way to pause the game when using the KS Mod?

I know it's not really practical in MP games for obvious reasons, but I found myself missing the pause button when playing single player scenario's and just wondered if there was a way of doing it other then opening the menu tab.
