All of a sudden - as in last night it worked and this morning it didn't - SOW:WL will not load the mods. I figure it is something with the config file but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it is.

I copied the original config file to another place, created a new one, played the silly-assed tutorial over again, and then when I tried to activate the mods, it crashed. I did load up one of the Ligny scenarios and it loaded fine but I cannot activate the KS mods. And I'd rather have my finger nails pulled out than play vanilla.......

One of these days I was going to install the new version 24 anyway but at this point I have no reason to think that would be any different from what happens with .23.

Did you make sure all three components of the KS mod are checked as active in the modifications screen?

No, it doesn't take. I click the mods I want to activate, hit the button and it crashes. Next time I load it up the mods are still unchecked.

Something is going radically wrong. Just for the hell of it, I am going to try a reboot. The Microsoft answer to everything.

I had this once before. A reboot fixed it.

And it seems to have fixed it again.

Weird that the standard game played fine.

Things that a reboot fixes may well be down to your PC having memory resource issues, especially if its been running a while and many other apps have been used. But its fixed now; that's the main thing.

The Microsoft Magic Pill. I always shut my computer down at night though. Saves wear and tear on the fans and stuff. I'm just going to have to chalk this one up to gremlins and move on.
