Impromptu Games

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. We still need to give the new non-wheeling code a proper test, so it will be a French/Austrian PvAI scenario on open ground.

Due to our attacking uphill it wasn't possible to see if the AI was wheeling much. By the time I got up onto the flat ground the AI was almost done in. I think you need an elevated viewpoint (either defend from a hill or fake high up camera) to see this enough to make a judgement on it.

Also my apologies for anything incoherent I said after the battle! I did a Reno and drank rather too much during the fighting!

PvP is 1807 French v Russians.

Co-Op is player team of 1806 Prussians.

Both are on the snowy Eylau map (but I won't be using the deep snow effects so cavalry is still useful).

Great, is Eylau map based on any GB maps? (just checking if it's Gonzo friendly).

It's a community made free add-on map by Mark Tewes and is included in the Supplemental maps Mod, so if Gonzo has all the KS Mods up to date he is good to go.

Both are the NEW AND IMPROVED 1815 Prussians on the Ligny map. One is probably going to be a bloody frontal assault and the other might be a bit less bloody.

Do we need anything else DL'ed except for the new GB map?

No, just put the GB Turning Point lsl file in the Supplemental Maps 1.16/Maps sub-folder. I have replacements for all the other map files that are associated with it.

I have 2 Co-op scenarios ready that require a minimum of 3 players.

One is the potentially bloody frontal attack scenario of 1815 Prussians on the Ligny map. The second is French vs Spanish using my newly completed Spain 1808 OOB. For this I'll need to distribute an updated OOBnames.xml file, plus anyone who wants the Spain_1808 master OOB may have it.

If people would rather play PvP I am hoping Kevin has a scenario we could play.

I can play and do have a PvP Prussian vs French battle on one of the Antietam maps if needed.

Probably for the best. After viewing the replay it was decided that court martial proceedings should take place for your failure to follow orders. No need to mount a defense, the verdict was predetermined and the firing squad has been assembled.
