GCM HITS-Style ACW Battles

Post  WJPalmer on Fri Dec 30, 2016 9:34 pm

Happy New Year to everyone!

Also, wanted to let you know that the GCM group has lately begun playing occasional HITS-style Civil War battles using couriers for communication and the view set at 10 yards from the saddle. We've also been playing a few on the Manassas and Chickamauga maps in addition to our usual diet of GCM random maps. To see when one of the Couriers/HITS battles is coming up, just check out the 'Scheduled Battle' section of GCM website. Our 90 minute battles typically begin at 17:15 on the US east coast or 22:15 in London. These are usually posted on the website a day or two in advance.

Feel free to come on over if the urge strikes -- and have a great New Year!

Thanks Ron, I may well drop by. Are you guys still not playing SoW:WL?

Haven't played SoWWL for awhile, but there has been some talk about trying to get the groups together for a game soon. I'm hoping our modified HITS-style games will be a HIT (pun intended) with the GCM group and whet appetites to branch out some. So far, the ACW version we play seems quite popular.

Happy New Year!
