How feasible would it be to add in an AI behavior for advancing artillery by half-batteries (as at Friedland)?

I don't know about this, Uxbridge, but perhaps some sort of fire and advance feature would be good but perhaps too deadly.
I would like to be able to advance batteries at a chosen distance like infantry can (unless I have missed this, somehow?)
Pull back increments would be good to.
Especially handy considering the difficulties finding good emplacement ground

You can do this. I do it all the time. It's the same button for advancing infantry.

You can't make the AI do it, but you could micro the operation yourself by splitting a battery and ordering one half to move forwards. You might have to TC them to get them to move.

Ultimately I think the AI would run in to the same issue we would as players: getting too close to the enemy and not deploying.

Thanks Ehey
Not sure how I missed the function. I'll check it out.
