Greetings all
Hi all, have joined your forum as a new player, having never played KS or SoW. I am joining the Peninsular campaign, having been pointed in its direction by a player of my now sadly defunct online campaign.
Based in Lincolnshire in the UK, I'm a regular wargamer and boardgames player, infrequent blogger (britishforces.org.uk ). I'm also the main developer/admin of a combat flight simulator community (stormofwar.org ) where we are attempting to recreate the feeling of the battle of Britain using IL2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover.
I look forward to meeting some of you in due course on the campaign battlefield.

Welcome to the forum and to the 19th century. We usually play 2 or 3 battles per week using one of the SOW games. We play both co-op vs the AI and PvP. Play is from saddle level which gives a very realistic feel to the battle as the view is greatly limited. Join us whenever you like.

Hi Gavin, pleased to see you made it. Lincolnshire eh? I'm not far from you, being just north of Kettering. Is your IL2 group the ones who made that superb film using the game - The Beginning of the End?

Small world Mr Digby I'm in Stamford ! No, that's the Air Combat Group who produced that video. Fantastic bit of advertising for the whole hobby tbh.
Re: Greetings all
Welcome Gavin. Glad you decided to check the game out.

Re: Greetings all
Hi Dave, no, thanks for giving me the heads up. Looks like it will be a lot of fun, and you never know it might give me the impetus I need to get my system back up and running.
Re: Greetings all
Gavin - small world indeed. Maybe I can drop by to say hello for a tabletop game one day.
I may have mentioned this in TS but is there anyone in your wargame group or who was in your online campaign who might be interested in joining ours? I still have a couple of open player slots on each side.

Martin,
You'd be welcome to pop in for a game any time. Always happy to put something on.
I have spoken to a couple of chaps this far, waiting to see what they think.
