KS Napoleon Game Friday, Sept. 4th 20:00BST, 15:00EST
Continuing with the slow testing of a new version of the mod, everyone will need this new version 1.12y: KS Napoleon Mod 1.12y
In it the toolbar changes in version 1.09-1.12 have been added back in.
The battle will be played on the Alpine map, so everyone will need to have copied their Gettysburg stock maps and put them into the Waterloo mod.
Bozhe moy! Things were going so well. General'nyy Bennigsen had moved his corps to Neuhausel unopposed and was about to march farther east and capture the a French headquarters at Barsch. It was not heavily guarded, held by only a single division. Bennigsen therefore, sent out two of his own along with his cavalry to capture the town, take whatever could be carried off and put the torch to the rest. But now news had just arrived from Zakomielski's division of a French column in the vicinity of Gran.
A small group of local merchants on their way to Neuhausel were stopped by Zakomielski's piquets and interrogated. While at Baoka, they had seen a column of soldiers to the south. However, it was so foggy, they could not estimate the length of the column or even the direction it was marching. Are they fresh troops marching to Barsch to defend it, or are they the garrison abandoning the town with everything of military importance?
This report is doubly galling as it came from civilians and not his own cavalry. Unfortunately it had all been reorganized into one division which left any reconnaissance work to the infantry.
Minor victory
Do not allow the French to capture Neuhausel. It is the end of your supply line. In the hilly terrain, it would be impossible to quickly establish a new one.
Major victory.
In addition to the first victory condition, capture Barsch and keep a minimum force of 1,000 men there for 40 minutes. This will signify that the town has been captured and stripped of anything of military value.

I shall be there.
The word 'military' is surely redundant here? My empty baggage carts await duty.

Of course you are correct. We are Russian after all.
I forgot to mention, this is the 1807 OOB so the Russians aren't as good as those in the 1812 OOB.

so everyone will need to have copied their Gettysburg stock maps and put them into the Waterloo mod.
I guess it is OK with the lsl files from GB and the supplemental maps mod.

It seems to me that part of the intention of this scenario's structure is there's only 1 cavalry command. Would it break part of what you intended if there were 2 cavalry players?

Yes. I just wanted to make sure everyone had transferred their lsl files to the new game. We have had some new players join us since we first did that.I guess it is OK with the lsl files from GB and the supplemental maps mod.
Not at all. We can easily accommodate cavalry brigade commanders.Would it break part of what you intended if there were 2 cavalry players?
