Montrenis, the frog leg preparation center for all of France is under Austrian control. This is an intolerable situation for the frog eaters and they are sure to send a force to recapture it from men with such unrefined palettes.

I believe Dedovich has seen too much action against the French as of late - it may be prudent to send him off to another front - maybe to Serbia to fight the Turks!

That's a horrible defensive position. I predict that forest will be full of voltigeurs 10 minutes into the game doing their weasely sniping business. Next thing you know they'll be wearing green, smearing mud on their faces and sticking leaves in their hats to hide better. Its not proper war I tell you!

I guess the best strategy would be to let the French into the cauldron and then attack from all sides. Twisted Evil

I guess we have found our CinC! - I expect that you lead the Austrian army, the most powerful war machine in this universe, to decisive victory!

I don't see the words "Austrian" and "cauldron" going in the same sentence unless you include the words "Seitsame Brucke". Rolling Eyes

I still don't know if I can play today or not. If my uncertain evening guest isn't here at 20:00 can I take a brigade and then if I need to leave it won't overload our C-in-C.

I think the morale boost of last night's skirmish was necessary even if we only faced half the enemy's army...

playing as the Austrians, victory was never in doubt, to be honest - but still... I think we still have quite a way to go to again be assured of victory when fighting the (not so poor anymore) AI

My prediction about those forests being full of naughty French gentlemen was proved correct. Being trapped behind enemy lines in the SoW equivalent of the Ardennes with only six kuirassiere squadrons is not fun. I couldn't initiate charges anywhere and didn't want to. The AI's tendency to stop and face any threat was really worrying when I had no idea what threat it was my AI squadron commanders were seeing!
