The Russian line of communication runs through the towns of Gesna, Kroni and Keydani.  Elements of the French III corps have been approaching from the west.  Cossack patrols report division sized forces at Polstan and Myszagola.  It seems clear the enemy means to cut Western Army's LOC.  The corps under General'nyy Infanryy Dokhturov must prevent this.  The Russian forces are centrally concentrated near Kroni, able to respond to a French thrust in any direction.

Prevent the French from cutting the road between Gesna and Kedani.
