Hi;
I came here through SoW WL and another forum I'm up on (SoWNC, with members from there I reckon are here too); adding to the Norbsoftdev, I'm happy to say that now I'm a member of 3 different forums, first time in my life.
Back in some golden age that now seems long ago I used to play tabletop wargames, counters or miniatures. Somehow following the current trend I gave up on them (especially as it is extremely hard to find other players, currently tho I am drooling on compassgames.com/index.php/military-simulations/nations-in-arms.html which I know I will get, even if I doubt I'll ever play it) and from them I moved on like anyoneelse to the computer games.
I am a big fan of most Ageod's [if there are anyone interested on onlive CWII or TEaW please tell me!) and a few other titles, and I'm interested to play SoW WL online -I tried it last Saturday but somehow it didn't work out (I remember Sol Invictus being there).. and will follow with SoW GB I will defo get soon.
I added the Mods made for NAP, brilliant piece of work, that encouraged me to start my own Peninsular's folder with maps taken from GB's Carlistas mod and could work out something, so thank you for these awesome mods!
There you go, introduction in a nutshell, happy to join!

Welcome to the forum. Some of us also come from a miniatures background. Other are from a more traditional kriegspiel environment. We usually play MP games on Sat and Sun at 20:00 BST, (15:00 EST). Try to arrive about 15 minutes beforehand. We also play occasionally on Fri. and Mon. at around the same time. Just check the forum posts to see if a game is planned. The Impromptu Games thread contains many of these announcements.

You are most welcome to join us even if it is your first time playing MP or you are brand new to SOW. As we are not a competitive group, so your experience in commanding troops is not important. Having a good time is all that matters.

Hi and Ave (to continue where we left off in the MP chat Very Happy)

welcome and hope to see you soon in-game... - I do hope you realize what you are getting into here... Wink

I also played the AGEOD games for quite a while - but never found an opponent for CW II or TEAW.... so definitely be interested in giving that a go at some point....

Thank you guys!
@ Invictus: given your name and quote you'll be happy to know I also got recently Ageod's Hannibal.
I'm up for that offer, I'm eager to do a 3 MP on TeAW or I'll settle for a 2 parties on CWII just let me know.

Welcome More. Good to see a new face. we are probably going to play some SoW WL tonight at the time Kevin mentions about 20:00 BST/15:00 EST. We're currently experiencing some crashes with teh KS Nap mod but are trying out different things to see what we can do to get around the problem. Our test games are always co-op vs the AI as we find you can relax more and take notes or screenshots of anything odd and not get embroiled in a 'beta the other guy' syndrome.

It also matters not at all how badly or well you do as its all testing for the moment.

Hi;
Ok I'm up for it. Will you enable the mods or just the normal game?
Last time I tried to MP tho, I kept getting an errmsg "Wrong version with the host" or something like that. I'm on V1.0006 (although the GUI keeps saying I'm at V1.0005)
THanks.

I don't think there is a v1.0005.

We'll be using the KS Nap Mods as we are doing some testing on them trying to pin down a crash we've been getting. We know it's related to couriers but we are not sure exactly where.

I'd suggest you try re-downloading the patch. http://www.norbsoftdev.net/NSDTeam/Downloads/SOWWLBetaPatch1.exe
It won't hurt anything to try to install this patch twice.

Hi know right, I must of downloaded it already 5 times, but from the auto updater, you don't want to see the log lol, successful all the time.
Ill try from the site tho, thanks.
Edit: amazing, the official patch won't work but the Beta1 did? Beats me. Thanks!
