Napoleonic Society Re-enactment in Nottingham
Hi fellas,
Just found out about this. Battle of the Nations.
Today, I will be dragging my family to, what looks like, a major re-enactment event at Wollaton Park in Nottingham.

Wondered if anyone else was going or is interested in meeting up? There's quite a good pub closeby
I'll try and run off a few pics
Mike

That's a shame, Martin.
Maybe next year, as I believe it is becoming an annual event. They held the same last year but that slipped me by, somehow.
Its a two day event. My colleague lives next to the park (which is basically, a walled Elizabethan house estate, slap bang in the middle of Nottingham) and they were camping out in the grounds on Friday night, experiencing similar weather conditions to the night before Waterloo
The park is a 15 min drive from my house. It is a great park, with deer running freely and an Elizabethan house perched on top of the hill in the middle. Hard to believe you are in the middle of a city.

Here's some quick pics. Done with a smartphone, so not great.
It was a good show. Just Brits, French and a few prussians. Would have liked to see more French, especially since their camp seemed to be sealed off.
Loved watching the Brit volley fire. Lots of smoke. See the before and after volley fire.
I'll upload a couple of short vids when I get chance.
